Each year on Christmas Eve, we deliver boxes of necessities and comfort items to families at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and Cardiac Unit at Texas Children’s Hospital in Houston. See what we look like in action- from packing to delivery.
Packing the Boxes
Each year, our wonderful volunteers get together to assemble the boxes and sign their name with a message of hope for the family receiving it.
Delivering the Boxes
On Christmas Eve, a group of our board members deliver the boxes to each family in the unit. We have the opportunity to speak with the recipients and share our story. Along with our boxes, we deliver hope and compassion for every family going through crisis during the holiday season.
A Special Shoutout
We are incredibly grateful to the nursing staff of Texas Children’s Hospital. Not only do they show up on a holiday to care for families during what may be the darkest time of their life, but they have also been a very important part of the development of Andrew’s Angels over the years.
Each year, we try to also deliver a token of our appreciation to the nursing staff. When you donate to Andrew’s Angels, you are also supporting these heroes.
